Duration:

2pm-6pm

Tide:

2 up, 2 down

Weather:

Beautiful, sun out all day

Bait:

Mackeral, sandeel, squid

Rigs:

2/3 hook flappers

Results:

5 flounder, 2 dogs

Report:

Lovely day, great to get out. Went to the point to the right of the beach to fish off the rocks back in towards the bay, but a heavy swell running onto rough ground made it very tough for a virgin angler with us. So we retreated back to the smaller secluded beach and got 5 flounder and 2 dogs. Nothing spectaluar but a good day all the same.

Good stuff Shamrock, keep meaning to get out to Dunree each time Im in Donegal but other things (Hangovers mainly....) kept getting in the way. Nice to hear of a few fish from there anyway, its a lovely spot that doesnt usually attract too much attention.
Fluff chucking is the new black..... Rampant Wreckfish is a fly angler in denial :D
