Left the house at 9:30 and headed for killary lovely weather not a puff of wind until we arrived .
Started fishing at around 11 very slow to start with nothing on the first 4 casts in the 5th cast got a mackerel while retrieving in the baits first dog appeared around 1 fishing was very slow until around 2 when i got 3 dogs in 3 casts then all went quiet for another few hours nothing but a few small whiting and mackerel the at around 3:30 the fish appeared again kept fishing till around 4:30 with 2 more dogs at around 3 dad headed to the beach beside us and caught 1 undersize flounder there was plenty off pin whiting around and wouldnt mind giving it a go in the dark for the bigger whiting
I caught 1 crab that was very red and almost dead fished there at the start of the red tide during the summer and was just wondering if the crab being red ment that the red tide was still out there or had the crab just not changed back to the usual colour
