which picture looks like youghal beach  its no secret where i get all my big ray :D
neither of those pictures were taken anywhere near a beach the picture of the fish up on the measure was taken in my back garden. i had intended on killing the fish and eating it but when i pictured it the fish started flapping so i had a change of heart and decided to give it another chance of life. so i brought it down the jetty and sat it on the steel platform that was about a foot under the water and faced the fish into the tide. the ripples in the picture are actualy the holes betwen the steel slats of the platforn notice the shiny edge of the step above the platform. she sat there for twenty mins not a budge in it so i thought it was goosed and reached down to take it out and she took flight. i was a bit surprised as the fish had been out of the water for 40 mins or a bit longer

the fight was as good as it gets it came up to the top of the water and just swam along with the trace for about 30 yards and then dissappeared back to the bottom and fought hard for the rest of the way in to be honest there was a few times i thought it was going to snap the line enjoyable while it lasted
