Ach well, Thats how we all start.... The Fishing at Donaghadee couldn't be described as exceptional by any stretch of the Imagination, But its definitely a handy spot, and probably the best one Local to me...

I stopped off at the pier on Sunday afternoon on my way home from the BASC Game Fair in Ballywalter. It looks like a cracking venue. I can't believe I've never given it a go.

Question. I generally spin/float fish and have started SWFF this year. Would the back of the pier be a suitable venue for SWFF? To my untrained eye it looks perfect for pollack, mackeral etc.

Have fished further round just past the bus station in a boat 30 yards offshore. Good kelpy ground and plenty of pollack. Rocks are easily accessible ans should offer a good spot for SWFF.

went out last night with my m8 got an octypuss thing stuck to the wall couldnt get it up but managed to get it up on the pier it was about the size of a rugby ball. it was hissing and everything at us it was about 3 pound have the pics will put them up when i get time.
