Report:

Myself and a friend fished a favourite mark in Waterford Estuary last night. From the beginning we were getting good bites with some hook ups. Initially we were getting smaller codling to around 30cms.

Later the fish got bigger with some in the 45 - 55cms region.

I forgot to bring my camera again but we kept 4 fish each and conservative estimate is that we had about 30 fish between us over the 3 1/2 hours. The fish we kept were all over 50cms. All other returned alive.

The cod run has begun earlier than expected.

well done great to see a few turning up was down that way on friday had few lot of small ones

the mud hole @ the back of the housing estate ?
tides are 4.9 all week ill w8 till they drop to hit the spot
