People:me + my dad

Duration:17.00--22.00

Tide:high about 20.30

Weather:sunny,light e

Bait:rag, lug, mack, squid+mussels

Rigs:2 hook pats with weight lifters, and float gear

Results:4 coalies to 34 cm;s


Report: a quiet day in all, a few bites on legered baits but no fish :( all the coalies taken on the float close in on worm tipped with mack.

if it cant get its jaws round a 1/0 its not worth catching [ mullet excluded ]

strange not even a dog about on it after dark???
ah well, 4 coalies better than nothin, and good to get the float gear out this early in the year too i bet!

Thats something I never really got my head around... I don't enjoy float fishing at all.... Give me a session watching tips any day.... :?

a few good decent wrasse on a spinning or bass rod when float fishing drew is excellent sport! nothing to beat it to put in a lazy summers day on the rocks!

I tend to do all my Wrasse fishing, etc etc straight into the Rough, Losing a bit of gear is regular, but sure, sacrafices must be made...

yeah we fished ardglass last week with the float gear and had some wrasse phil so summers on it;s way mate glad to say :D
