people: me and 2 mates

bait: sandeel

rigs: lures

results: 9 pollock upto 3lb

decided to give the mark that the pollock meeting was at a throw on the way home from portrush yesterday evening.

was good craic. even the small pollock put up a grat fight on light spinning rod :D

all fish were taken on sandeel immation lures. ALL fish were returned alive!!

i switched to using proper sandeel behind a small weight only got hit once and was a good fish!! played it for a good 30secs with the rod near doubled lol (light 7ft spinning rod) and finally got it close. just as it was almost in a bloody big wave came in and washed the fish towards me i reeled like hell but it was gone!!! never seen the fish but felt bloody good :(

think the tide was dropping at the time we fished (6pm-7.30pm)

will be back again to try it on a better tide :D
