Dublin Boat Marks (IMELDA) 22/9/2012

#1 Post by JOHN1 »

People:Brian and myself

Duration:9 hours

Tide:ebb and flood

Weather:ok

Bait:rag mack launce crab

Rigs:various

Results:(8) species. macks, dogs, Ballan wrasse, whiting, poorcod, launce, pollack, grey gurnard.

Report:Headed out with Brian for a session on saturday things started off quite well with about 50 macks and a few launce in a short space of time 8)
so armed with some fresh bait we headed off in search of a few animals, but the only thing we got any interest from were a few dogs to big baits. the smaller baits had us busy with a good few plump whiting with an odd gurnard in the mix.
as time was slipping away we headed for a bit of mixed ground looking for a few species, but the only things we could add to the tally were a couple of pollack poor cod and a few nice Ballen wrasse the best of the day going to Brian with a fine fish just over the 4lb mark 8)
not a very productive day fish wise, but great to be out for a nice long day all the same.

He held out very well jim, but in fairness I told him very early in the day that if he gets seasick or starts hitting leads off the side of the boat he will be walking home
