At last, caught a bucket full in Cork harbour last tuesday. They were taking traditional coloured feathers, but not those cheapo silver paper rigs. strange. Busy on the bbq since.

Went out from Kilkee heading down toward Dunlicky / the castle last Thursday in flat calm water, we just got out of the Bay to find the water bubbling with life so we stopped up and got plenty of small mackerel for bait then carried on our way to find every where we looked u could see small mackerel disturbing the water a couple of time we seen them jump clean out of the water,

We couldn’t resist the temptation to stop every now and then to pick up a few more, Later we headed toward Mutton island where we came across a couple of dozen nice size fish in amongst the many hungry little fellows that we put back by shaking them off the hook rather then handling them… it was hard getting past them to reach the Pollock no matter where we fished,

Ended up with a nice block of frozen mackerel for rubby dubby should I get the chance to go after my first Blue,

Big difference from 2 weeks ago when after a 6 hour trip out all I had to show was one nice size mac and a little fat Pollock,

Hit the mother load to night (Fri) about 5 miles off Guileen. :D :D :D

Hunted around for a while getting the odd 1 or 2 but kept an eye out for natures greatest fish finder (gannets).
After about an hour on the water they showed in numbers so I headed out to them.
These boys are the best at what they do, finding food.

The slick form the shoal must have been over a mile long and only about 40 feet wide but it was full of mackerel and herring. :D :D :D :D

I had over 30 herring. :o :o :o
Herring at this time of the year is crazy.

This planet is goosed…
Everyone get on the next bus off it
