I am due to fish on a charter boat out of Duncannon next weekend. I have never fished this part of the coast before, so any information on type of fishing, rigs, baits, species etc would be gratefully received.
Thanks

Everything!
Best to get the skipper's name and address (try the boat section on this website) and talk directly to them. Feathers to start, with various rigs from flatties (two up 1 down, sequins, spoons etc) to tope and ray rigs (wire to heavy mono) to even blue sharks in the next month, weather permitting! Mostly light to medium fishing but big fish available if you have the patience and the desire to land something substantial...
FWIW...

Time spent fishing is never time wasted...
2015 targets - a triggerfish, a specimen bass, a three bearded rockling to complete the set and something big and toothy from certain north Mayo deep water marks
