Ballymoney area 7-9-12

#1 Post by Moldaguus »

People: me, jhcabs, corbyeire
Date:Friday 7th
Time:10pm-4am
Place:Ballymoney
Bait: peeler and lug
Tide: out then in
Weather: dry with a little chop

Arrived at the mark to meet Corby already set up and in the water, quiet enough start with just some nibbles and knocks, water had a bit of chop but clear of weed so happy days. After maybe half an hour Corby landed himself a fine smoothy bout 4lb or so, after that the dogs came in their droves with jh pulling 8-9 out in the few hours we were there, a decent smoothy similar size as corby's and 2 baby smoothies, not a great haul but some good action to keep us busy for the night. Good session

Took a spin to morriscastle on Saturday the 8th but with conditions being so windy and crabs taking all the bait we left after and hour and headed back to a different ballymoney mark with only a couple of dogs landed :( still nice to get out tho
