mackeral in howth

People: myself and friend

Duration: 7am to 3pm

Tide: rising tide

Weather: calm and sunny

Bait: mackeral

Rigs: feathers

Results: about 50 makeral

Report: went out off howth and had a good days fishing. had about 50 mackeral. we were catching them trawling our feathers, as drifting didn't seem to work. we spent 3 hours drifting and had nothing so we start to trawl and started hitting fish.
we waisted a good bit of petrol but it was worth it in the end. we have loads of bait now to go out for the bigger fellas next time.

hi Glenn well done was it u in the bout with 2 other lads I seen uses trawling up and down ????

probably not coz there were only two of us on the boat mate .

I was at Red Rock today till 4 I might have seen you. A boat and a kayak were up and back a few times. I managed a ton of wrasse but could not beat my PB. I dropped a pig of a dish yesterday but he did not come back. Nice result on the macs by the way.
