Report:After a good Smoothie session on Saturday evening I had most of my lug and rag unused so a short spin out to Greystones was on the cards. The pier and rocks behind it were packed so I headed round the corner to a handy perch and squeezed my way in. Saw some doggies landed on the steps across the bay but I was after wrasse and pollock. The tide was rising but it was still a bit shallow,,,,but I still was tempted to drop my rigs among the boulders and seaweed below me. This plan resulted in me losing 3 rigs in a row before I decided to cast them out a bit further to the sand beyond the rocky shoreline. This new plan resulted in bites straight away
,,,,,,but unfortunately these resulted in me landing pin whiting after pin whiting 
. I thought about feathering for mackeral,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,just for about 2 seconds as I seem to be immune from it's charms 
,,,,then decided to try again for wrasse 
. Luckily enough my next drop got me a nice little Ballan Wrasse,,,,,,just the one though,,,,,,as the next few fish were blennies,,,,,,,,,you can always tell their bites,,,,especially when you miss them and the bait comes back upside down (or back to front 
). I was lucky with the weather, a shower of rain saw the other anglers around me head off, then it stopped. I had a few pollack to end the session , just as it got dark, lovely golden colour , then it lashed and I legged it for the van 
.All small fish ,especially after landing decent smoothies the night before,,,,,,,,,,,but enjoyable all the same and better than wasting the bait
