hook head 11/7/12

Results:me 14 pollock 2 corkwing wrass 2 ballen wrass dave 7 pollock 1 ballen wrass
Report:
a midweek trip was planned for rosslare point but after a look at the tides there was a change of plan so we said we have a go at a bit of l.r.f from the hook arrived just as the rain was stopping and the sun came out got all the gear from the car and took the 10 min walk to our mark first few cast showed no intrest from anything but then i got a small pollock followed by to small corkwing one male one female then the pollock started to feed we both had fish every few casts there were a couple of smalls ones but most of the fish were from 39cm to 43cm near l.w i had to good ballen wrass 1 after the other we packed up at 6 and headed of to dolley bay to fish the first few hours of the rise hopeing for a bass but all that was there was crabs most of the fish were returned to fight another day i kept 4 and dave kept 2

Nice one Al and I am getting better at taking the photos, We had great crack and great fishing sure is the way to go the L.R.F. We were blessed that the weather gods shone for us was a cracker of a day... Hope you enjoyed your fish... I did. Here's to the next time down there. Some cracker of a wrasse m8 and well caught and I dont mean on the rod by the arms twice....remember
