East Waterford, bass hunt, 7th July '12

#1 Post by John D »

People:Mise agus Anthony

Duration:10:30pm - 11:59pm

Tide:High at approximately 21:15

Weather:Light/Moderate North east breezes, 16 degrees, dry, good water clarity with some floating weed.

Bait:N/A

Rigs:White illex Bowstick, Tackle House feedshallow & a blue Slimcode.

Results:Nothing

Report:Well another blank for me personally. Anyone that says bass fishing is easy is a liar. It's particularly difficult trying to figure out productive marks in Waterford when you're from Dublin and you've nobody even trying to point you in the right direction. I'm not trying to display the 'poor me' syndrome here, I'm just being real. Anyway, all it does is make me more determined. I haven't caught a bass in over a year off the SE coast now. I'll definitely keep trying though! P.S. - I know conditions weren't great!

Hi.

Yes I've tried the copper coast. I saw a couple of fish stirring on the surface in shallow water at the mouth of an estuary on Saturday night. They were either not interested in what and how I presenting my lures to them or else they were mullet.

My friend caught a huge bass on a lure along the copper coast two weeks ago but that was the only fish we came in contact with all day.

I've fished three or four other marks on the copper coast too.

Hopefully my luck will change when the conditions change.

But as you guys said - I'll keep PLUGGING away! :D

Tight lines,
John D.
