A fantastic weekend with the usuall great banter and acting the maggot..
Big thank you to Mark and all the gang at Sussex Casting Club for throwing another excelent event.
Conditions were very windy of the sat and quite tough on the sun making for some interesting results...
It was great to be there and to see so many 300yd casts and to see Matt Russel let fly with a massive 125g cast of 291m!!
thats just over 318yds in old money,, the longest ever recored cast in competition... To give you an idea of the madness on the 125g 3rd place went to Alan Varley with a cast of 305+yds not often you see things like that... also a big well done to our own John "Cracko" Henry on getting 2 new PB's including his longest ever cast in comp of just over 260m on the 125g..Plenty of pic's to follow once i go through them all....
and to witness some huge casts too, sick I wasnt there
