Cobh SAC Inter-Pub Competition - The Results

Duration: 10am - 6pm

Tide:Ebbing mostly

Weather:Glorious

Bait:Mack & Rag

Rigs:All sorts

Results:16 Species recorded (including a fine Angler Fish)

Report:Four boats from the Cork Harbour Angling Hub (Noamh Cartha, Lagosta II, Osprey, & the Camden Mist) picked up the 32 anglers at Kennedy Pier, Cobh at 10am. As it was a glorious day some of the boats opted for the Ling Rocks, the rest stayed at the Smiths. The fishing was mixed but the Lagosta II, skippered by Alan Kennedy, had a cracking day at the Lings with over 2 dozen good fish per angler. I think it was one of the Shamrock Tackle rigs. I'll find out!

I hope the Cod are around tomorrow as I will be down there looking for them in the morning

There was cod caught Mike, as pic 7 testifies to, but just not on the Lagosta II that day. Mind you Alan Kennedy had a crew out a few days before and they had loads of cod with the biggest 17lbs!!!

Nice day's fishing.

I see the cod were caught on a Shamrock tackle mickeyfish rig.
