new pb hound dublin 23/5/12

People:me & jimmy k

Duration:9.45pm -2.15am

Tide:rise

Weather:flat calm mill pond sea

Bait:fresh crab

Rigs:pullys

Results:1 hound




Report:
not much to report fishing for the first 2 hours we did not get a bite and then i got a nice bite but was to quick reeled in to find the crab still in good shape (it was only out 5 mins) so i cast it out again. it was only in the water another 2 mins and the rod doubled over and the fight started after a good battle i landed a new p.b hound 1 oz shy of 7 lb we were thinking this is the start of them but i only got 1 more fish witch i lost under the rod tip but all in all it was worth the few hours put in well for me anyway

Alan that's some STONKER of a fish congrats on the new PB great night for it m8. More hours put in and great results. :wink: :wink:
Species 2012: Flounder, Whiting, Dublin Bay Codling, Coalie, 3 Beard Rockling, Shore Rockling, Bass, Dogfish, 5.2lb Starry Smoothhound (PB), Twaite Shad, Thornback Ray 5.8lbs (PB), LSD, Pollock, Ballan Wrasse, Cork Wing Wrasse, 43cm Flounder (PB)

Species 2013: Coalie, East Coast Codling, Smoothounds, And hopefully a back opp to get back fishing soon...

:D Not much to report,thats a belter of a hound maybe not that many fish but id gladly camp on a beach for a week if i knew id get a fishof that quality well done.

nice going alan... hounds all over the place so up there...might try for my PB hound this year but hard to beat 12 pound i reckon......

Cracking fish, well done. We tryed there only 2 nights before you and never even got a bite...lol Very hit and miss that place.
