Waterfoot Pier 18/05/12

#1 Post by DGP123 »

People: Me

Duration: 9pm-11pm

Tide: H/T 11pm

Weather: Very Windy and Showers

Bait: Rag and Mack

Rigs: Flappers

Results: 3 Flounder

Report: It didn't start too well because I had a bit of an accident before I even arrived. I went to my local Tesco store to fill with petrol and as I got out of the car I slipped on some spilled diesel! I managed to grab hold of my car door to stop myself doing going the whole way but I felt something pull on the right hand side of my back. Only a twinge and fishing to do so I thought it would be OK...........
I went to Waterfoot Beach first and the wind was blowing a bit harder than the 15mph easterly that was forecast. It was really strong and would have been a real struggle so I went to the pier which was empty.
First cast and a nice little Flounder but I noticed my back had started to go a bit stiff and a little sore. It went a bit quiet for a while but then I started to get good bites and a couple more Flounder. Trouble was, I could hardly cast or wind in. My back had gone completely and really painful so I had to pack up and head home. I was really gutted, first really good start this year and bites starting to come over the high tide. I had planned to stay till 1ish :( :( :( :(

Hard luck fella especially if the fish were bitin'

Hope the back heals soon. fagan is right, you wouldn't be long wreckin' it completely casting whilst its painful.

Best of luck,
