Soft plastics

#1 Post by cod chaser »

Hi all as the bass fishing is now closed I'm planing a trip down to west cork Sunday weather permitting fishing for pollack & wrass using soft plastics senkos, wave worms & savage gear slug Sandeels. As I have not caught fish on these before any tips would be very grateful as I've read all about how to fish them on the net. Thanks

Just fish them at all depts, close to kelp if your after the pollack, theres bound to be a few there to ambush your softies, you've got to be in it to win it, be prepared to loose some gear, that way you know your doing it right.
Species 2012:

Cod, Whiting, flounder, coalfish, bass, pollack, sea trout, poor cod, pouting, dogfish, sea scorpion, 3 bearded rockling, blonde ray, painted ray, turbot.

Ya should be fine. Iv been hammering Pollock all week on them, even had a ling which was a weird one.I fish them either close to the bottom slowly retrieved.Fast jerks with 2-3 sec pauses or jigged vertically from a height.

Best of luck
