Ballygally, Waterfoot and Carnlough. 13/05/12

#1 Post by DGP123 »

People: Me & Dan

Duration: 4.30pm-7.30pm

Tide: H/T 6.30pm

Weather: Strong SW Wind & Rain..........lots of it.....

Bait: Mack, Rag and Sand Eels

Rigs: 2 hook flappers and pennels

Results: 4 Flounders and a Doggie

Report:
We wanted to try Ballygally but when we arrived it was thick weed so we decided to go round to Waterfoot. The water was well up by the time we got there and it didnt take long to get the gear out and start.
We were both getting bites but nothing definate and I caught a hand sized Flounder and Dan had a small Doggie. The weather was getting really uncomfortable and Dan didnt have his waterproofs with him so we decided to pack up and head back to Carnlough and fish from the cars. I had another small Flounder and Dan had 2 but not of any size so we gave it up at 7.30pm.
I couldn't get over how clear the water was at Carnlough and you could see the Flounder we put back swim off for a good distance.

The fishing wasnt great but an improvement from the last couple of trips.............
