People: Me & 2 others

Duration: Friday 11th May & Saturday 12th May

Tide: Various, best tide time 2 hours after high water

Weather: Sunny and calm on the friday night, saturday S 14mph

Bait: Peeler Crab, Rag, Mackerel, Razor [Razor, Rag & Peeler Crab Most effective]

Lures: Most effective : Silver Kilty Lures

Rigs: Most Effective : 3 Hook Clipped [long snoods - 15''], 2 hook Flapper [long snoods - 18'']

Results: Flounder, Bass and Garfish, Rockling & Plaice




Report:

Fished at our doorstep on the Friday night with a nice selection of bass, Biggest was about 3lb a couple of flounder. Biggest flounder was around 41cm. Flat calm night that was freezing. temperatures dropped down to around 1 Degrees.

Satuday Morning we went spinning to local mark, water was stinking and full of weed with a couple of patches in the open surf clean. a garfish was a nice surprise.

Saturday Afternoon we tried for rays but the wind kicked off big time and destroyed any hopes of the marks we wanted to fish so settled at the back of the harbour but blanked here.

Saturday Night we fished the doorstep mark again. By this time is was windy and conditions were not the best. A couple of flounder and bass, we packed up about 12.30am. We planned on fishing Sunday Morning but we woke to Gale force winds

thanks lads. it was hard enough fishing but a brilliant trip. Couldn't keep up with that garfish. one of the fastest fish i have caught

well done m8 always wanted to get fishing round kerry mite get down before the years out. class pic of the garfish. nice bass aswell :D :D :D

cold or wet can be tolerable but nothing worse than the wind ruining trips.. :roll:
would love a trip down that way myself

sorry to hear the weather kicked up on you all stevie. but at least you all got a few silver fellas and the gar is a class looking fish man 8)
