What to do with out of date flares?
Hi Guys
Bit of a daft question, but what is the best way of getting rid of out of date flares, the flare pack i have is out of date at the end of June and I havnt got a clue what to do with them.

Leave them into the local gardai,say you found them on the street,they will thank you kindly for your trouble

The best thing to do is contact a local chandlery/boat supplies shop and ask them can the dispose of them for you.
viking marine is in kilcoole they might be close enough to you, or you could also try yacht agencies down at the murrough

Keep them and save yourself the cost of new ones as they will still work

i know we have a batch of out of date ones coming in next week to the army to be destroyed i will find out can i add yours to the batch if u like

Im pretty sure you can organize with your local coast guard unit to take them and they will destroy them. I could be wrong but I'm nearly 100% that this can be done.

i,m interested how do the army dispose of them? i bet they make sure they get the biggest bang possible out of each batch
