Species 2012:

Cod, Whiting, flounder, coalfish, bass, pollack, sea trout, poor cod, pouting, dogfish, sea scorpion, 3 bearded rockling, blonde ray, painted ray, turbot.

cracking plaice drew.have a mark for them here but never ever got them to that size.nice the see the orangey marks well distingushed on them too.ye seem to get them more and bigger up around the north coast.well done all

Top stuff Drew, cracking red spot. Not too many men would have returned her let alone went to the length of stripping off :lol: !
Sea Species(25) bass, codling, whiting, turbot, seatrout, stingray, pollock, coalfish, longspine scorpion, ballan wrasse, dogfish, ling, pouting, poor cod, dab, mackerel, smelt, sandeel, launce, bull huss, painted ray, thick lip mullet, golden grey mullet, rock goby.

Species 2012: Flounder, Whiting, Dublin Bay Codling, Coalie, 3 Beard Rockling, Shore Rockling, Bass, Dogfish, 5.2lb Starry Smoothhound (PB), Twaite Shad, Thornback Ray 5.8lbs (PB), LSD, Pollock, Ballan Wrasse, Cork Wing Wrasse, 43cm Flounder (PB)

Species 2013: Coalie, East Coast Codling, Smoothounds, And hopefully a back opp to get back fishing soon...

Well done Drew,

I havent seen a plaice like that since I was a kid (and Ive certainly never caught one like that myself). I saw a polish man catch one last summer off the rocks on maggots and I thought it was a decent fish at 36cm or so.

Your fish is a cracker. Nice work.
2013 Sea Species:- Bass, Flounder, 5 Beard Rockling, Shore Rockling, Whiting, red gurnard, grey gurnard, Pollack, coley, mackerel, sea trout, cant remember cos I didn't update at the time.....
2012 Sea species:- Pollack, Coley, Mackerel, Cod, Bass, Sea Trout, Haddock, Plaice, Dab, Flounder, Red Gurnard, Grey Gurnard, Pouting, Whiting, Corkwing Wrasse, Ballan Wrasse, Lesser Spotted Dogfish, Brown Trout caught on beach.
2011 Sea species:- codling, L.S. dogfish, coley, whiting, pollack(4lb 3oz), sea trout, shore conger eel (15lb), ballan wrasse, grey gurnard, plaice, dab (and lobster).

Mate, that seems to be the general vibe, though being honest, some of the stuff I've seen this year so far has pointed to a general improvement in the size, variety and general numbers of fish in certain areas. I'd say we're gonna see, and hear a lot of special stuff happening this year shore angling wise...
