Duration:4 hours
Tide:incomming
Weather:warm and sunny
Bait:soft lures
Rigs:

Report:
this was my first journey on to the water to try my hand at lure fishing.
what a great way to catch fish, started on the first chanel that runs in to ring had my first bass there
first chuck out, missed a few more bites after that ,the current got very strong then so we moved
to the other end of the beach to fish the other channel, missed a few bites at first then connected into the second

Re: lure fishing today at inchydony
It certainly is a great way to catch fish, lighter gear, direct contact with the fish unbeatable for a good fight. Well done to you and your mate on getting the few Bass.

Lads I never used lures/plugs etc- is there a brief idiots guide anywhere to using them? If they had an Irish frame of reference it would be even better!

Re: lure fishing today at inchydony
do u bounce SP's with jig head on the bottom of the channel or fish it around in the current?
have been on Incheydoney a few times in July and the cabbage/weed in the water is a disaster - suppose the cooler months are pretty much weed free....
Is there any point letting fly with lures into the surf on the beach or is it better to stick to the channel??
and as regards lures, its bloody addictive collecting them, i blame Henry Gilbys blog and all the pics of sexy lures.....!

Two dangerous pieces or of water if you are going to wade it would be a good idea to wear some sort of a floatation jacket.
One slip and the current will have you under before you know it.
