Duration:19:30 -22:00

Tide:Falling

Weather: very light showers

Bait:Rag

Rigs:2 hook flapper

Results: 1 doggie

Report:

Headed down behind the driving range to see if I could break my run of 4 blanks by fishing into the dark.

There was a very strong drag south, I had to spread the grip wires wide to hold any kind of position and not end up on the beach. Nothing much happening apart from a single doggie for me, which I was delighted to see as I was beginning to wonder if there were any fish to be found on the east coast apart from Greystones pier and in Tesco!

A father and son beside me caught a doggie and a small pollock on rag.

Spoke to two lads further up the beach that has spent most of the week fishing the beach and hadn't seen a single fish but were keeping going tonight and reckoned that if bait wasn't working they were goting to change over to spinning in the morning!
