killary

#1 Post by robbiemag »

People:Meself and me cousins

Duration:5 hours

Tide:Dropping tide

Weather:lovely

Bait:squid and mac

Rigs:pulleys and 2 hook flapper

Results:4 ray (5 pound to 7 pound). Over 20 doggies

Report:Left the house at 8.00 on Saturday morning. Still wasnt sure which spot to try when we got there. The 2 lads hav never done any fishing so wanted them to get something so they will become addicted like me. Had been given some information on different spots but decided on a place where normally throws up a few fish. 4 hours driving and finally arrived at the spot. Sun was beaming and sea was flat calm. Couldnt wait to get the gear out of the car and get a line in the water. I got the 2 lads set up first and then got me own line in the water. All 3 rods set up with mac and squid mixed. Whitin ten minutes the rods where hopin. The lads where bouncing around with dogs for everyone. Every cast we where getting dogs and lost a few fish on way in. Around 20 dogs or so later we got our first ray at 7 pound. 3 more ray to be had around 5 pound mark. All in all a good days fishing. The lads enjoyed themselves and cant wait to go again. We headed back to Galway city for a B and B and to hit the town for a night out. My god I paid the price on Sunday morning for goin out to a niteclub with 2 younger lads.
