Dublin Boat Marks (IMELDA) 28+29 / 3 / 2012

#1 Post by JOHN1 »

People: me and harry

Duration:11.45 to 1830 and 12.15 to 1900

Tide:flood / ebb

Weather:good

Bait:rag mack launce lug crab

Rigs:various

Results: cod, launce, sand dabs, ballan wrasse, pollack, whiting, grey gurnard, LSD's,coalies. 9 species.

Report: again a plan was made to get a couple of days out to make the most of the good weather. great conditions but the fishing was fairly slow to start, with launce dabs whiting and a few dogs making up the numbers. as the day went on things started to pick up with a few pollack to about 2lb mixed with any amount of coalies up to about a pound and a few cod to 3lb making up the day 8)

Day 2 launched a little later than yesterday but managed to be on the water for 12.15 made the same kind of plans as yesterday with simular results anly differance was we got no dogs but we did manage some grey gurnards and a few cracking wrasse just under the 4lb mark another notable fish was the biggest launce i think i have ever caught at just a bit over 35cm, very enjoyable couple of days, i cant wait for sunday

Thank's lads

martin they are not on the specimen list at the moment, even if they were i dont think i would go to the bother, i had a claim rejected for the last awards,i went to the bother of risking damaging my boat to bring the fish onto an island to weigh it on land so i could release it as quick as possible which i did and it swam away 8) to be told i needed one more picture
since then i have been told by some i wont mention, that i am too honest :) some dont even bother to weigh the fish on land at all :shock:and some dont even have certafied scales they just use somebody elses cert  i could go on but i wont.
