Bait:mackeral, squid, sandeel, but not the lug worm mick left behind in the shed!
Rigs: flapper, pulley
Results: 3 Thornie's, 7 Dogfish
Report:
After all recent trips producing no more than the usual flats, coalies and pin whitting so we made the effort to make our way off the beaten track to our winter thornie mark and is was thankfully worth the effort . Naturally the dogfish were the first to make a showing and the thornies then all arrived in a pack and were landed within 30 min of each other, great fast and furious action No monsters but still nice to see a few again, short but stocky examples weighing in at 5lb 14oz, 3lb 15oz and 2lb 2oz.

As usual mackeral was the preferred bait, though we do have good success with sandeel too. Not sure why but anything wrapped in squid never seems to work fo us
