Is there a junior section to this competition?
Fisherman's prayer:
God grant that I may live to fish, For another rainy day.
But when my final cast is made, I then most humbly pray.
When nestled in your landing net, As I lay peacefully asleep.
You'll smile at me and judge, That I'm "good enough to keep"!

I have a comp in cork on Sunday too, Its not an excuse

You should come down and fish, it promises to be good craic and looking at the weather there should be some good fishing too.
UP THE DEISE!!!!!!!
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.
KStaff winning matches is the new black.

Re: Saisac Shore Comp Feb 25th Courtown sponsor Henry's Tackle
info from a Courttown comp held in Dec for what it's worth
Many of the fish taken during the competition were small but an estimated 800 fish were reported to have been taken during the event. The main species taken were whiting, dab and flounder but small numbers of other species such as codling, coalfish and rockling were also recorded. Crab, maddies mackerel and lug baits all produced results on the day. The overall winner of the open shore event was Alan Mulcathy with 46 fish and the winner of the ladies section was Paula Dunphy with 23 fish. Junior section winner was Roy Daniels with 20 fish. The seniors section was won by Frank Lawlor.
