To all the Munster Team Members who fished the Inter Provincial Competition in Tralee, Philip, john and myself would like to thank you for all the hard work and effort you put in, from travelling to the practice sessions to making sure your traces and bait were perfect and leaving nothing to chance. Like all competition some will be disappointed and some will be elated when it is over, but as your managers we are proud and delighted with the way every member fished every session hard up to the last second, and we know you all could not have fished harder than you did.
If you check the results you will see that some of our Team members only missed out on making the Irish Team by one fish, as hard as it is for them, not making the Team, we know they gave 200% effort, and this time it was not meant to be for them. But I am sure that they will make an Irish Team in the very near future.
Congratulations must now be passed onto our 5 Team members who will represent Ireland in the Home Nation Competition in Samphire Hoe, Dover, England. They are Jordan Muire, Luke M O Sullivan, Curtis Connolly and Daniel Connolly who will be on the under 16 Irish Team, and Rory O Connor who will be on the under 21 Irish Team, each and every one of them deserve their place on the Irish Team and we Know they will do us proud.
There is one other person who cannot be left out and that is Deirdre Murphy who fished and represented Munster in the Ladies Inter Provincial Competition and who also made the Irish Ladies Team. Deirdre put in as much effort and hard work as our other Team members and deserves her place on the Irish Ladies Team. While there is no Home Nation competition for the Ladies at the moment don’t be surprised when you see the Ladies travelling to the competition in the near future.
On Behalf of Philip O Sullivan, John O Brien and myself we would to congratulate all of the Munster Team member for the way the represented themselves for the weekend both on and off the beaches and to say we were proud to be their Managers.
May we wish the best of luck to all the Irish Team Members who will be fishing in Dover in England this year, and for the Munster anglers don’t forget we will be starting our qualifiers in April of this year,
Tight Lines
John Kinsella.
Congratulation to the Munster team members

Thanks to the sponsors of the Munster Inter Provincial teams
We would like to pass on our many thanks and gratitude to all our sponsors, from all members of the
Munster Inter Provincial Teams, who provided us with such great sponsorship in these hard times for the Inter Provincial competition in Tralee.
All the team tops were provide by John O Brien, Waterford Angling and Outdoor Centre, ( 087 2235270, 051 844314).The tops were designed by John, who also secured the sponsorship from our other sponsors. Anyone who has seen the tops will agree that they are of the best quality produced by AZZURRI Ireland Limited, Waterford (051 850066),and made the teams look prepared and ready even before the cast a trace into the sea.
Our second sponsor was Martin Howlin from Nationwide baits, (087 6481791)www.nationwidebaits.
Martin supplied each team member with Black wraps and mackerel for the competition, and the quality of the bait was superb, if any one needs bait, I would highly Martin as the baits were in top condition, which helped us achieve the great results we got.
Many thanks to David Wilson from Pure Fishing, www.uk.purefishing.com who provide everyone with a Berkley baseball cap which matched our tops, and the Abu Garcia, fleece line woolly hats which kept our team member warm on the cold beaches.
Our final thanks must go to a sponsor who does not wish to be named but from all the managers, many thanks for the help you gave us.
I believe that all of the above played a big role in helping us with the great success we had this year, because with the help of our sponsors not only did the Teams look the part, they were provided with great bait and clothing when they were fishing.
MANY thanks to John O Brien for his sponsorship and getting the other sponsors on board.
Many thanks to our sponsors for all you help,
Philip O Sullivan, Munster Youth Officer and Munster under 21 Manager,
John O Brien, Munster Ladies Manager,
John Kinsella, Munster under 16 Manager.
