We are delighted to announce, due to increasing members in the club and swelled numbers intending to fish our first competition of 2012, we've had to move up estuary slighly from our original venue of Ballyhack. We've spoken to the top local anglers to try find a mark that could offer fair match fishing for upto 20 anglers and we are moving slightly to fish the Barrow Bridge.

Tactics & baits remain the same, Lug & Crab the main baits along with the usual tipping bits & pieces. Codling, Flounder, Dabs & Whiting are the main quarry (Rumor has it the area is fishing very well at present). We've had to make the start time earlier to get the best of the rising tide, unfortunately this will mean an early start for many. Also, it is advisable that all members wear waders as some of the pegs will be muddy - you have been forewarned!

Checkin will start @ 8:00am at Harts Bar in Campile Village (For Those reliant on Sat Nav) just a 10 minute drive from the venue. Membership will be open for 2012 on the day. Pls call a member of the committee if you're going to be late.

Absolutely gutted I can't make it. Tempted to drive down after work to fish it later on. By all accounts the fishing is cracking at the moment. Best of luck lads and enjoy the head start!

Great day, pity the fish didn't show up in the numbers expected, but some good flounder were caught all the same & the craic was 90!

Results are:
Longest Flat: Dave Sherwood (Flounder 37cm)
Longest Round: Sod (Cod 31cm)

1st-Sod--------198pts
2nd-Ruairi-----183pts
2nd-Alby-------130pts
