kilmore quay

#1 Post by dan belfast »

lads my club always book a weekend charter boat fishing every year. we usually book downings or killala but one or two of the lads have suggested we try somehere new. kilmore quay was menthioned, but we have little or no info regarding quality of fishing, charter boats and recomended accomodation. we usually book our trip from about end of june to late august so if anyone has any info it would be appericated. usually around 10 anglers.

The Saltees Hotel usually does good deals for anglers and there are lots of good skippers in Kilmore like this guy:

Book early and enjoy. :D

Have fished Kilmore many times, you can`t go wrong plenty of fish. All fishing on the drift, if you leave it until August there are some huge Tope there. Try Dick or Eammon Hayes both very helpfull, but there are plenty of other charter boats there. Stayed in Saltees Hotel (good) if you`re on a budget Quay House slightly cheaper. Well worth a try.

I'm gonna agree with Bingham here, we had a great weekend away down there, We chartered "Autumn Dream", and the skipper seemed to know the area well...
