Glenarm Breakwater 27/03/06

#1 Post by Drew »

People: John, Julie, Lee337, Glengormney Gavin, Stuart Langridge, and Me 8)

Duration: 8pm - 12.30am

Tide: Rising

Weather: Mild, Calm, Perfect.

Bait: Rag, Peeler, Squid, Sandeel, Mackeral

Rigs: Various

Results: 1 Conger, 1 Sea Scorpian, Codling, Coalies, Whiting, Poor Cod, Rockling

Report: Great night out with a great bunch of People.

Lee Managed the Smallest Conger I have ever seen, Which spurred him on to Change to a Bigger bait and the Sl30 in search of a monster that never materialised.

Stuarty got adventurous and fished under the Boats for a Variety of species, while john Shoved his K2 LDC into the Harbour resulting in 2(or possibly the same) mini rockling. Julie managed 3 Coalies and a Whiting, Im not sure what GG got, But Im sure he'll tell you when he gets the chance.

I'll finish up by telling you that a certain well known Forum member was really 'Lamping' out the Leads tonight, and had some 'Crack' while he was doing it. I really don't think this forum member had seen the 'Light' until tonight, and even then it took him a while to spot it. I reached 300 Yds tonight... on Shockleader using... lol

Many thanks to Lee337 one of the up and coming stars of U.C.C. who went out of his way to pick me up tonight, and drop me home....

...Though its a terrible thing when your leads leave the house straight, and go home like a boomerang... Nuff said...

Anyone who was at the meet, and feels like enlightening the masses, may do so....

Over and Out.

In the immortal words of ELO - 'I was blinded by the light'

I actually blanked last night K2 - not impressed as the conditions should have thrown up a few good fish.

Ah well.... I was well entertained with all the craic and the pendulum-cast which almost wiped out Glenarm Breakwater

Yep it was a case of lights out for lee, all i can say is i hope this young man keeps up the forum casting clinics he may well start to push a lead out without blacking out a whole town in the process, but then again HATS OFF TO HIM FOR EXTREME EFFORT, it was a great nights crack for such an impromptu meet

Me thinks he is still trying to get the redness out of his face

What comes around goes around Lee.....

Tilt your hat to Lee anytime you see him in the future.

I was just worried about my motor, it nearly got wiped out too......

Sounds like you all got your 1st lesson in why its important to be very carefull when hitting big casts. Safety 1st and all that, I`ve seen the damage leads can do when cracked off.
