north dublin beach 27-jan-2012

People myself and the brother

Duration 12:00-15:00

Tide incoming to high

Weather dry and cold

Bait fresh lug and sandeel

Results1 sea trout




Report
headed for north dublin beach about 11:30
fishing for about 2 hours when I got a nock on the rod
grabbed the rod and struck felt like a nice fish line went slack tought I lost the fish
but it just swam in as I reeled in nice 2lb sea trout only bite for the rest of the day

nice trout there, good size, well done
Spesies 2012/ flounder, turbot, colie, whiting,thornback ray, dogfish, pollack, ballan wrasse, corcwing wrasse, dab, cod, sea trout, mackerel, smooth hound

Thats a lovely size of a trout well done
2013 species : coalies,flounder(pb),whiting,dogfish,5 beard rockling
2012 species : cod,whiting,coalies;flounder,5 beard rockling,bass,dogfish,dab

nice sized sea trout, judging by how slender it is, it looks like its recently returned to sea after breeding - in top condition it would be way past the 2lb mark

bait was lug and sand eel fish was taken on eel
