Duration:08:00am to 09:30am

Tide:high at 9:30am

Weather:overcast

Bait:lures

Rigs:

Results:2 bass

Report: Decided to fish east cork mark this morning for an early morning session on the lures with the hope of catching first bass of the year.I arrived at mark to find conditions were not the best but decided to fish it anyway as i wanted to test new rod concept spin 802.Walked along shoreline and decided to fish rocky outcrop which produced alot of bass last season for me :D put on a ima sasuke 140 and cast out.Nothing happened so decided to move
further along shore line the next spot i put on a zonk gataride then changed to feed shallow still nothing after 2 hours and the wind was starting to pick up was about to leave when i had brainwave. The water clarity was poor so i decided to put a bright green wave worm with 7g decoy jig head first cast twitch twitch bang fish on, after a nice fight on the new rod a nice fish of 5lbs was at my feet nice one!!.I really recommend the concept spin for the money u cant go wrong.Had a few more casts with the feed shallow and caught another bass of around 4lbs decided to call it a day after that.Overall very happy to catch in bad conditions and first few bass of the year 2012 wishlist beat my personal best of 21 bass in 2011 :D

Fair play to you, catching bass on lures in January is a fair achievement. I tried three times last week and blanked each time!!! Just like you I'm out to beat my personal best in 2012 aswell :D !
