donegal beach mark 13/01/12

People:me and father in law

Duration:2.30pm to 8pm

Tide:low and rising

Weather:dry calm with light SSE wind

Bait:mac and lug

Rigs:3h flappers, 1up 1down

Results:16x flonders, 2x turbot, 2x colies, 1x whaiting




Report: my father in law is visiting us, so deside to bring him with me to the session, he didn't fish just walked around and enjoied beauty of coastline
first cast and nice size flounder came out of the water, then fishig has slowed down for an hour or so
as start geting dark more fish and spesies appeared, session start geting busy enough fish came almost every cast, it kind of great in this time of the year
was great to have a hands to run from rising tide and in dark
all and all was great day out and start spesies list of 2012

Good session, you certainly found the flatties; I think I was fishing in the general area but they were a bit scarcer where I was!

2019 species; ballan wrasse,blonde ray, coalfish, cod, cuckoo wrasse, dab, dogfish, flounder, goldsinny wrasse, ling, mackerel, plaice, pollack, poorcod, pouting, scad, sea scorpion, spotty ray, spurdog, thornback, tub gurnard, turbot, whiting.

thanks John, that spot where i was is realy teeming with them, even this time of the year could cach a few handy flats

thanks man, there is few hot spots about, just a weather mater, if ya can't fish in one than is defffinetly could in another one
