Report: i finally got the chance to head out for my first session of 2012
I got myself over to the tackle shop and i was gutted that they had no rag or lug so i just got mackerel and sandeels. I drove to the mark and i met another man fishing, i asked him any luck and he said that he was fishing for five hours and not a bite. so my hopes of a fish were low the only thing i new about the mark is that it fishes better at night and he was there during the day so i had abit of hope. i never got a bite for the first hour but shortly after my rod started twitching i could so i struck the rod i was in i was reeling in and sum how it got away, will i wouldnt want too repeat my langauge. i thought that was it a wasted trip but within the next hour i got another wack. this time i wasnt lettin it go reeled it in and too my surprise it was my first ever sea trout couldnt believe my eyes. i was over the moon. there was nothing after it but i really couldnt care just was glad too get a fish that ive been after for years.

what a way too start the year!!!!

I was out in Downhill last night from 7pm 'til 2am and blanked. There had been word of sea trout being caught on The North Coast but they evaded me. I had a really strong strike on the rod but whatever it was got away on me.

Well gutted and totally foundered

ive had my fair share of blanking aswell but january isnt the best month for beach fishing. its lucky if u catch atall. i was expecting a few coallies but they never showed eaither. maybe next month ill get out for another session and hope it will be a abit warmer.
