courtown harbour

People:me and dave

Duration:8.30 till 12

Tide:flooding

Weather:coldish

Bait:frozen :lol:

Rigs:pullys and a 3 hook cascade

Results:whiting and dabs




Report:it was cold ,got a bucket of water to defrost bait and it merely started freezing around the crab and mack :lol: plenty of whiting even impaling themselves on size 4/0 pennels :D you gotta admire their appetites,still if you dont go you dont know :wink:

Same here with defrosting the bait with water, 2 minutes later the wee lads had a skirt of ice :D God bless those whiting, they have eyes 10 times the size of the belly, well done on the fish Rodger

Good question :!: made two trips down there and did not even get a 10cm codling ,waste of
time diesel and good bait :twisted: .reports mmmmmmm .

funny you should mention it i did target spurdogs for an hour as they do show up in the area !

Spoke to a friend of mine who lives and fishes in the area and he said that the report about the cod was ' a Fishermans tail '
