Paddys Day, Co. Clare - First Bass of the Season
People: Me and Aido
Duration: 15:00 - 18:00
Tide: LW @ 13:10 aprox
Weather: Heavy Easterly... not too cold with the wind at our backs. A tiny surf with quite clear water.
Bait: Lug, Rag, Sandeel.
Rigs: 1 up, 1 Down
Results:

Report:
First cast with the new Penn Powerstix 13ft. I lobbed a bait out about 20 yards where the little surf we had was breaking. I was hoping for some flats. I put the second rod together and cast out about 100 yards. As I was putting the second rod on the rest I got a cracking bite.
Aido managed a flounder. We had a couple of knocks but that was our lot.

Cheers K2,
This was one I found myself Robert. I normally put Henry on the marks down there.
I was looking at the OS map of the area as I tend to do.....
Looked mildly interesting so I decided to try find it. Managed to find it and there was not a person in sight as the access is very difficult. I have fished it a few times over the last 3 years and only once did I come accross another angler. If we hook up for a beer or chat sometime I'll put you on it.
