Re: Any ideas ??
Would love some ideas meself, I been getting back into the swing of it after about 7 years out and am hoping to start finding some marks closer to home. Been out a few times now and the closest to dublin I been so far is Greystones.....dave18 wrote:Thiking bout hittin beach in dublin for a good nights fishing any ideas lads.

Re: Any ideas ??
Best advice I can offer lads is just get out there, try, try and try, I have tried several different marks both Northside and Southside, have a look in the reports section, and weed reports for ideas, sadly no Dublin marks seem to be fishin well at the moment... some are sayin its adverse weather conditions, illegal netting, trawlers coming in to close, weed, etc... being honest I dont know why myself, it could be a combination of all..
Regarding safety, make sure you leave your cars were ppl are around, parkin down dark lanes etc, not a great idea, unless you can see it and keep an eye on it, as the cold nights approach there should be less drunks about (heres hopin anyway!!)

To true mate.
One thing I have always tought was that there has to be fish in all parts of the sea, so was thinking I might draw up a plan of attack for the winter nights...
Tight lines.

Re: Any ideas ??
Oh currently there seems to be a plague of small pin whitting all over the East Coast, (aka baitstrippers!!) nearly every report these days has a mention of them!! and if you want to target them reduce the hook size, and make the snood a little longer, as whitting like to hit and run with the bait, but you'll need extremly light gear and no wind to see the bites
