Whiterock, Dublin, 02/12/11

#1 Post by jack01986 »

People: Sweetwrasse and myself

Duration:5ish till 10.

Tide:dropping

Weather:windy and mild

Bait:Lug mack and some refrozen crab.

Rigs:Pulleys and 3 hook flappers

Results: Whiting, Coalies, Rockling and a solitary flounder.

Report: Finally a session where we managed to catch some fish, the whiting were about in force we were getting regular treble shots for a good bit of the night. Coalies started to appear just as we were running out of bait. Having told Sweetwrasse how good a spot it can be I was pretty happy that we managed a good haul of fish. Id say we managed close to 70 fish for the night between ourselves. Still annoyed I havent caught a flounder yet, will get one eventually. Pics to follow.

There was a bit of weed just as the tide was dropping but it cleared away eventually.

Serious amount of steps especially coming back up. The parking was grand actually not too many cars about it can get a bit tight down there. Always a few dodgy customers hanging about up there as well.
