Opportunity to assist in a ban on commercial Bass fishing in Northern Ireland for anyone interested
The proposed ban was originally supposed to be a complete ban (like the ban in the Irish Republic) but the latest proposal has changed this to allow some commercial fishing. A sucessful ban in NI could strengthen the case for a ban in England, Scotland and Wales and also further support the ban in the Irish Republic when it comes under attack in the future. Anyway there is further info and an easy way to help available via the link for anyone on here who might be interested:

If the reports coming out of east cork
are right then
the south would need to implement their rules. See
report in W.S.F. 10/12/2011.Re bass netting????

Having said that i fully agree with commercial ban
on bass fishing if it can be policed fairly.

Specimens come and go but the passion is for ever.
