On a south Dublin beach near the tea rooms and it was lashing out of the heavens with Creep and this sad wet miserable mack basher fishing just off the rocks for his dinner ( well we all got to eat I suppose ) getting pi$$ed of at us as we were pulling in fish after fish he came up to us to see what we were doing..... Catching I told him..... Creep gave him a rig and at last after bout 3 hours we hear a yelp down the beach.... and the lad jumping around like a man possessed.... He finally got 1 mack and off he went soaking wet and very cold..... If he had of asked us for a fish he could of had one..... I just looked at him and taught what a gops*ite

All those yobs are at home infront of the fire for the winter lads its way too cold for drinkin tins outside this time of year! Its sad though the rubbish they left behind is still strewn all over the rocks where i fish as usual. Scumbags

Maybe he was just learning to fish, he would have got more joy in catching his own fish than asking you for one. Fair play to him for sticking out the hours in that weather, can't see why you class him a gobs*ite. Nice one Creep for giving him the rig.

Nicefish....

its just a phase that everybody uses and I am free to view my opinion and my own taughts.... Dont think he was learning how to fish just wanted his grub, and as my fishing buddy Creep said it wasn't warm that day but he was chuffed with his fish...... Have you never asked for advice about or while fishing.... Well he didn't so he only wanted as I said his dinner..... Cheaper to buy the fillet and dryer to. Am not going down the road of what I think about people my business.

Regards

Dave

well some of them go back to the canals as there is not as many guys to throw them in during the winter.some head to the lakes with nets and poach as many pike perch. and roach as they need to keep the freezer full.then theres the others who go around finding handy boat engines to pick up and send to eastern european countries. this takes up a lot of the winter as it takes a few months to fill a container.but make no mistake he will be back in "his spot"first sign of the mackies been back in

Big deal,he could have being doing worse things than trying to catch some fish for the table, like the gobshi*es in Arklow who smash car windows when the owners are fishing.

@Nicefish... Ouch!! or the fellas down at ennrielly or Laytown, or Port Beach, hell they seem to be everywhere these days ... anyways back to the conversation on the True Elite Macky Basher, the ones with the beer cans and spools of mono (that oddly enough dont seem to cover their reels half as good as they do the piers they fish off!! :D :D )

@stox couldnt agree MORE!! :D :D and have ya noticed their egos seem to run in par to the lenght of their rods :D :D

@cd07 too true mate :( mind you last trip out I picked up loads of tackle left over from a seemingly crackoff (must have been 100-150 feet of mono to get through) and though some of the feathers arent worth keeping the weights are coming in handy as do the swivels!!! ;)

Swim out to deeper waters and Spawn
