People: Just me
Duration: 6.30pm - 9pm
Tide: Pushing
Weather: Warm Southerly Breeze, choppy
Bait: Ragworm
Rigs: 1up1down, Pulley
Results:
Dozen or so Pollack to 47cm, Half a dozen whiting to 28cm, Half a Dozen Pouting (+ 1/2 a pouting!)
Report:
Had a few worms to use up from last night so it made sense to just stay local, so down to the Dee, fished the prom for about 1/2 an hour, just at the tideline to see if I could contact any flounders, sadly the baits came back untouched so I dandered on down to the end of the pier...
Mostly a uneventful night, with a few whiting to start, then I got slacklined on one of the rods, so I wound up the slack and hit it! Missed it! Sh*t! reeled in, only to find the head of a pouting on one of the hooks! something was hungry and decided my pouting was its dinner!
Later on when I was retrieving a small pollack my rod hooped over, the commotion of the small fish had attracted a bigger Pollack to the rig, got hime measured at 47cm and released...
Good fun night on home ground....

that's a cracking pollack for that spot drew. most of the pollack and coalies down there are around the 30cm size, so that match measure sized one was a bute
