Re: glueing a reel seat
Hey,
I just use layers of insulating tape on the rod butt where I want the reel seat to be fixed then wedge the reel seat over it ensuring its a tight a fit as possible.
If then you need to take it off/replace it or sell the rod you can use hot water on the reel seat and it will soften the tape up underneath and it can be slid of (with a bit of effort).
Not a permanent fix but I have used this on all my rods from light rods to ones I use for hauling weed on rough days and the reel seat doesnt slip or twist if its wedged on tight enough.

Re: glueing a reel seat
just use hot melt glue. its easy to remove with a bit of heat if you decide you wanna change where the seat it but will hold it tight for you.
youd pick up packs of 6 or 8 sticks of it in any hardwear store for €2/3
