mullet

has any body seen this before.
was out sunday afternoon around inchidonney beach. drove down past the channel next to the road down to the beach. in the channel there was literally thousands of mullet boiling on the surface. they occupied the channel for about 500 yards, all of them just boiling on the surface and jumping reguraly. they wernt feeding as many people have tried for them all week with only very limited results. wondering whether this was their breathing season or sumthing. anybody got any ideas.

saw the same thing in kerry this time last yr. i expect it is breeding season
