What this country is capable of

#1 Post by JimH »

We have this quality fishing here in this country - if we manage it, look after it and promote it sensibly it could work wonders for us - Thomas and Max return to Holland - happy and tired

Sorry Sean, I never weigh them - a quick measure along the rod at 84cms - could be anywhere between 10 >

Couldn't agree more
I have had UK guests in this week who are literally shell shocked by the quantity, quality and range of species they are catching yet try and talk about funding for promoting tourism fishing for both home and abroad and all you hear about is golf, golf and more golf.
Angling is now basically ignored by Tourism Ireland with NO promotion of it at all in the UK, our biggest potential market, and little more in other countries.
Live out on the beautiful Beara Peninsula. Always willing to assist visiting anglers.

Thanks jim would be a good idea to have a few length marks painted on the side of the rod
