Where else would you rather be???

Fished benone yesterday afternoon for 7 hrs hittin the incoming tide. Nice surf and apart from a few light rain showers was a perfect mod edit day :-P...not a single bite but that big 10lb'er is a comin! anyone else any joy lately?

i was on it on fri night past. caught 5 flatties varying between flonder, plaice and a turbot. nice night but we were fishing the low tide just to get a run out.

a fella landed after us at 2am and caught a sea trout on the first cast
2011 species (16) - Flounder, Coalies, Pollock, sand eel, Wrasse, Sea Trout, dogfish, thornback ray, Whiting, Red Gurnard, Codling, Grey gurnard, pouting, Mackeral, Turbot, Plaice

targets for 2011 - Bass, sea trout and big cod! - Scratch one! Sea Trout Down!

in saying that i want mine before you get yours - no hard feelings!!! :lol: :lol:
havent been out as much as i'd like recently due to work but there are lots of fish being caught if youu know where.

i know how you feel - my biggest is 8lb2oz and i cant beat that yet!!! although i have hooked one recently that took me and the rod down the beach and was well over the 10lb mark judging by the thumps and shakes of him, took line off the reel and snapped a 25lb snood due to my stupidity!!!! heart stopping stuff!!!

hand off lads - that bugger is mine!!!!

When you are reeling in a biggie,do you stay where you are and reel in or do you go with him as weedave was saying walk down the beach?

ha ha i know where they are too but they just weren't playin' by the rules! My biggest is only 6lb but a double figure bass off the north coast would be far more satisfying that a bass from one of the many famous marks down south :-P

bass over 10lb are rare fish from any irish beach :!: good luck in your quest may the force be with you ! 8)
