Master Angler Winner 2011

#1 Post by Labyrinthfish »

Massive congrats to Martin Howlin on winning the MA 2011, after years of accumulating hideous Silver medals  at this event Mr Howlin now has his MA title and is the proud captain of Team Ireland 2012.

Runner up was John o Brien , Cracking result for 2 of Irelands Top Rods...

Big well done to Peter Atkins , Mike Curtain and the Connaught Council for putting in the much needed effort that produced one of the best Connaught MA's in a long long time !

Roll on the Fish- Offs...

Dave.

Well done indeed Martin. Fished very well, had the pleasure/pain of fishing the peg between Martin and John on the last session. A very worthy winner.

Fair play to all the stewards too.

And to our own jd for finishing 10th and making the fish offs. Brilliant result John.

well done to the lads who got plates, medals or made the fish offs!!!! BIG well done to mullaghmore SAC. I was told 6 months ago that they werent naming venues cos "they were gonna put us onto fish"! Very impressed! Plenty of walking but plenty of fish. Connaught is definately not the black sheep of the shore angling scene as I was advised fer the past 9 months!!!

Well done to Martin, great achievement in what were albeit tough conditions, a good spread of venues that all threw up fish in numbers with very few blanks. Massive well done to all involved in Connacht who put in a massive amount of work in organising this comp. Hats off boys in what were very difficult conditions. Well done also to JD on a strong showing throughout on his debut at the masters.

Well done to the organisers for making the plan work. :D :D :D

A bit of driving to be done but when you are put on fish you have nothing to complain about.
The GPS numbers were spot on and took the stress out of the drive to each venue

1 edit   well done to Martin an excellent return of fish not much time to breath in between casts
